About me

Jake is a little cloud of chaos disguised as a human, often still trying to understand how anything works. At some point during his childhood, he figured out what words were and made an unconscious decision to obsess over them in every way possible. As a result of this, he is a songwriter, a poet, an aspiring author, keeps a spreadsheet of some of his favourite words, and has a room filled with enough books to build a small house.
After growing up in a space that fought to hide his differences, he has opted to use his love of words for good and create worlds filled with characters who are loudly and openly themselves.
His first poetry book, The Flowers Never Really Grew, came out in 2021. As of 2024, he has released three poetry books, a picture book, and a collection of short stories.
Between working on projects, Jake also keeps a blog on Substack where he posts fortnightly updates on what he's been reading, what he's been working on, and sometimes other full-length review posts.
He's recently started a secondary blog for more serious posts, where he plans to talk about things like health, autism, being queer, and some autobiographical pieces.
